ABOUT / CV

I got the bug for puppetry, walkarounds and characters so early on that I don't remember it not being a fascination. I trained as an intern at Mesner Puppet Theater, and as a student at the O’Neill Puppetry Conference. During my school years, I won the Blue Star Award for Outstanding Puppet Design and Creation from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Kansas City.

I went on to spent two years as a puppet designer and costume character trainer for the DreamWorks Experience in Macau. I also headed up the puppet workshop for Warner Brothers/DC Universe’s Doom Patrol as well as worked as a puppeteer on the show. My work as a puppet builder and wrangler appears on Helpsters, a show created for Apple TV + by Sesame Workshop. I was an assistant puppeteer and puppet wrangler on BBC’s Moon and Me (created by Teletubbies creator Andrew Davenport). Additionally, I have created walkaround and puppet works for Comedy Central, the Georgia Aquarium and The Public Goods Projects.  I was also a puppetry consultant for 20th Century Fox World in Malaysia.

My background as a performer informs the decisions I make as a designer to the benefit of the client. My mission remains to present and create memorable characters that move their audience. Through my freelance work, and the puppets I build with my company: Characters Inspired, I continue to do just that.
